(I meant for this to be in the general forums. Please move if this location is inappropriate)

I'm as green as it gets. I've been playing for the better part of 3 decades and one of my favorite things to do was to modify guitars. Now, the modifications were fairly simple such as electronics or hardware swaps. I've been wanting to get into more in-depth repair for years but only recently had it become more financially possible. I have a few friends whom are luthiers and are available for questions and training.

I am looking to sustain the catharsis I experience when set the intonation of an archtop.

I'm sure I'll have questions and look forward to the experience here!

Welcome. I've only just started really participating in the forum after lurking for a long time. There are a lot of good people here who are quick to help with any type question.
Good luck.

Welcome Barry!
Tony will be happy to answer all questions.
He's such a gentleman. Just don't badmouth the band KISS.
Are you an acoustic or electric fellow?
You could get a Guitar Fetish unfinished kit to play with to experience the basic stuff.
