Bob Connor recently sent me a beautiful Brazilian Rosewood pyramid bridge to use on my current project that's a size 5 terz guitar. I wanted to be able to replicate this bridge with local hardwoods so set about figuring out how to do it without a CNC mill, so here's my take on how to go about it. |

Frank Ford shows an even easier way on his website, frets.com. The one critical tool was one of those 1" vertical belt sanders. Nice tool... |

I had a look at the way that Frank built the ivory one but I couldn't figure out how to get the little step around the bottom of the pyramid that I was trying to replicate. I'll try Frank's method for the next one and see how the two methods compare. I'll add that once I came down with a way to accurately size the pyramid, the whole process goes very quickly. |
