Hey guys, I haven't posted for awhile, but I am still using my K2 3925 machine and it's done a great job for me for about the last 10 years or so. I have a friend who is a very accomplished guitar builder who is interested in picking up a machine. I recommended a servo controlled machine that runs G-Code with a Z height of at least 8". He's Ok with using a router based machine. I think a working area of 2 ft x 3 ft is about right for guitar work. I know K2 has disappeared and I haven't shopped for these things for awhile. Can you guys recommend any manufacturers in particular? Thanks - Trevor |

Seems like a lot of the small players have disappeared... A lot of folks seem to like their XZero's. |

I built my own, as there was nothing available in the size I wanted (700mm x 1000mm x 300mm of Z) that was built robust enough, and didn't need me to remortgage the house. Lot's of work, and at times I asked myself what the heck did I do that for, but now that it's built I'm glad I did. I know so much more about the machines, and how to fix it when something goes wrong. |

I have a K2 3925 that I've been using for the last 10 years also. It has worked very well except for some Mach3 issues. I'm now running a kflop board with KMotioncnc instead of Mach3. Ron Liboon from K2 is now at Velox CNC. They have a 2536 machine, so that may warrant a look at their website. |

I just upgraded it's computer and have started working on the control box, I want it to run the CNC, Dust Collection, and Dust Shoe lights all from Mach3/4. Too Cool.... -Paul- |
