Here's a look at what I've been doing lately. Basically, I've turned my attention from electric guitars to acoustics... at least for the time being. I think the video (link below) does a pretty good job of visually describing the guitar, as well as giving you an idea of how it sounds. I'll be happy to post more photos if there's something you want to get a better look at. Comments, critiques and questions always welcome! Jeff KOZM Guitars http://kozmguitars.com |

Wow, I can't believe how good that sounds. Nice work Jeff. Did you draw that in SW? I'd think Rhino would have trouble doing all those fillets. |

You can tell it's SW in the first images in the video, it's got a pretty distinct look to the in-process renderings. I will say I really like working with fillets in SW, but I wouldn't say that Rhino would have any problem making the model. The nice thing about SW is that it fails at fillets more gracefully, for sure. Love the design, and that it's all screwed together. Just looking at the inside of the 'back' piece is really inspirational in the sense of how far apart guitar design and standard industrial design practices are, and how much more integrated they should be. I'll definitely be experimenting with that sort of thing when I get the chance (my new CNC is 'in the mail' on Tuesday and should be here next week!). Thanks for that, it's getting more and more rare that I see a design and really get inspired! (side effect of having already seen so much) |

Very nice work, Jeff. This project would be a great application for FEA to analyze the stresses and then optimize the weight. |
