Those are GREAT machines...and they were the inspiration to build mine... Alex is the owner, and he is a very nice and smart guy to deal with.... He is offering capabilities on his machines that would easily cost thousands more elsewhere.... If you are in the market for one, consider it.... |

I'm really hoping to see some owner feedback on this stuff soon. The ATC spindle looks like a pretty good deal, but the short tapers scare me a bit. Nothing to do with the spindle, but you can see the workpiece rocking back and forth around the 48-50 second mark in the promo video Do you know where we could see some owner reports or some videos of the routers in action, Spiro? The specs look really impressive, and the design sounds good, but Alex really needs to get some video up somewhere. The direct drive rotating nut thing is really compelling; I think I might try that one when I get around to building my next machine... |

Hi Bob, I could not agree with you more..... I had talked to alex in the past, and my number 1 point to him was to post more "physical" content...looking at pictures that are just simple renderings of cad models, will only get you so far. Most of the content on his site is simply that...renderings. Your point also on more video content of the machine in "real action" will get more traction, and right now, that does not seem to be there. I had also offerd to help him, if he was willing to send me a machine..in terms of create instructional videos, reviews etc.....but he was not ready to do that yet.... I guess only time will tell, and I am sorry I do not have more for you guys.... |

The renderings you can do with Photoview now are awfully convincing, though. A customer I'm currently designing/machining some prototype electrics for sold one based on the renders...before I've even machined the first prototypes! Alex seems to have some really great ideas, and a strong design. I think he'd be rolling in gravy if he had some proof to the buyers that there's some product behind the promo materials. |
