All,

I thought that this video was AWESOME!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_oXBvr8AhU

I really like the buffing robot, and the RFID tags that go into each guitar...which basically tell the robot what to do...

REALLY COOL STUFF!!

Notice also when they adjust the neck for a bow, they then sand the bow off on the fretboard!

Thought you might get a kick out of it.....I love the blending of machines with art!

Yes, the buffing robot is winning.

I know...that is really cool.

Would have to try that sometime...basically route a channel around the body with say a 1/8 inch mill (or larger)...and then take some of the StewMac plastic binding, melt the whole thing in Acetone, and poor it in the channel...let it harden, and then route around that....

I could imagine you can probably also do this in stages, with different channels, in case you want to do different colors, like black, white black etc..

Should be an interesting experiment.... :D

Probably the most interesting shop tour video I've seen.
I like Ernie's outlook and his giving credit to his employees for building the company.

Agreed....and how many Guitar Company CEO's can actually play? He clearly can!

Another thing which I liked, is when he says..."The difference between a GREAT guitar, and a simple one, is about 100 Details...."

He is so right!

Not only can he play, but he can rip it Jeff Healey style with the guitar on the bench.
