I've drawn an arm contour using sweep 2 rails. The cross section curves are tangent to the body face but the surface bulges slightly and is not tangent to the body face. Rhino help has been no help at all. Any thoughts on how to force one surface to be tangent with another? |

Sheldon can you zip the file and attach it here, or do a couple of screen shots so we can see? Mike |

Hey Sheldon, you should be able to use the network surface command with the same inputs you would use for the 2 rail sweep. Be sure to select the edges of the faces that you want the new surface to be tangent to, and not just the curves that are at those edges. Another command you might want to play with is the Blend Surface command...this lets you fill the gap between two separated surfaces with a surface that is tangent to both. Post some pics or the file & I'm sure we can help you a bit more...! Trev |
