It looks like the main thing they've got, besides carefully creating the modeling footage then accelerating it 5-10X, is it's allowing control point editing without breaking the design tree. I've seen the tech before, but I still can't think of a real application where it would make for a significant time advantage for a skilled user. It'll be interesting to see if Dassault puts it into the next version of Solidworks, given that they have 95% of the necessary machinery already under the hood. |

I think its real advantage is in design rather than the pure engineering and I can certainly think of many times I could have done with such powerful fast editing tools. This really is a game changer, it doesn't just let you manipulate the control points but also the edges and isoparms directly.
