This weekend was IMTS (International Manufacturing Technology Show) here in Chicago. It's once every two years and this was my third visit. There are few things I look forward to more. It takes 900 Semis to bring everything in and they dedicate a lane of Lake Shore Drive to it for a week.

Haven't been to one since about 93. Can't imagine what it must be like now. It was really an amazing show, even back then. A bit surreal, looking down on the show floor, with all the robotic stuff running. Apple used to put us up at the Hilton on Lakeshore. That was one business trip I really enjoyed.

Great show, John! My first visit was back in the sixties and the last in the eighties.
Tellin' my age now, aren't I.
Used to stay at the Pick Congress hotel downtown, which, I understand has been renovated.
Always enjoy the drive along Lake Shore.
