Here's some other stuff that I've run on the CNC...these are traditional turkey box calls, as used for hunting. These actually function similar to a violin. The top is rotated across the sides of the box and it "catches" and "releases" the side just as a bow does on the violin strings. If you make them well, they will create extremely obnoxious noises. These calls below are made with brazilian rosewood bases with mahogany sides and tops...with mahogany inlay on the bottoms. |

Here's a longboard prototype I did last year and a planetary gear modification for a Black&Decker cordless screwdriver to up the RPM for string winding. |

Not a lot of torque at that speed, but enough to get your strings to pitch. The battery eventually died and I replaced it with a Rigid 12V screw driver. |
