Just wanted to give you an idea of what's currently coming down the line at KOZM - The "Performer LS".

It's an acoustic - electric hybrid, with a conventional magnetic pickup. Intended to produce an amplified sound that's clean and very "acoustic guitar-ish".
No artificial, snappy sounding piezos. No need for a special acoustic amp or pre-amp.

Image
Front woods: Maple center, black maple stripes, yellow Alaskan cedar
Image
Ergonomic, organic, natural body shape. No sharp edges or corners.

Image
The elliptical hole is for threading strings through the custom hard-tail bridge system.
Mahogany back.

Image

Image
Joe Barden Deluxe-S "mini humbucker", mounted close to the bridge, and on a non-floating pick-up mount.

Image
Cutaway view of the non-floating p-up mount.

I hope to have some photos of actual progress in the days ahead.

Stay tuned!

Very cool Jeff, I saw some of your others at the Music Instrument Makers show at Marylhurst back in May. I dig what you're doing man.

The body halves have been glued together, and I had a chance to do some sanding today.

The aluminum "saddle base" goes out for anodizing tomorrow.
I'm hoping the Joe Barden pickup arrives tomorrow.
Clear poly in a few days.

Stay tuned!
