Has arrived at my front door! It came yesterday and I didn't have a chance to open it and take a look. So today I will..

Thanks Stan for letting me pry this unit from your hands, I'm looking forward to having sharp chisels all the time now!

Boy Lance you always get all the nice stuff. I have been wanting one of those for years. I thought you were using the "Scary Sharp" method? Anyway please keep us posted on how it works!

I have had a Tormek for about5 years now and I use mostly the stropping wheel on it as once you get a good edge that takes care of honing them.

What's a "sharping" system? Is that something that makes instruments play sharp?

Or is this Torment thing for _sharpening_?

The grading stone that they use in the video to change the cutting action on the wheel from 220 grit to 1000 grit is NOT part of the basic system.

That is a $20 add on.

The grading stone came with mine. I bought it at Woodcraft about a year or so ago. Maybe there was a special deal on or something.

Yeah woodcraft sells bundles for the tormek system, on it's own everything is Ala cart unless the retailer does something special.

So Lance, have you even opened the box yet??

The video that came with mine was pretty worthless. It just told me about all the accessories I could buy for it.
