Hi Folks,
Here is a simple question and I need some opinions!!
What would be the proper thickness for a Dred. Indian Rosewood Back??
I'm practicing and learning some skills and need help.
Thanks.

If you're new at this, I'd stay in the .085 to .090" range for both back and sides. If you want it to really "cook", take them down to .065 to .070" and brace the back with light braces, say approx .250" wide at the base by .625" tall. The lighter the weight, the less damping of the sound. BUT...you need to be careful as ripples can appear in the sides when bent.
