Just a quick note.
John Watkins completed the neck and inlay on the guitar.
And, is awaiting the address to ship to Tony Ferguson.
We all know what wonderful necks John builds. Thanks John.
And Tony stepped up to take on the finishing for OLF 2 Project Guitar.
Thanks Tony, watch for the UPS truck coming your way!
I'm not sure John made any pics other than the headstock picture he released earlier on the OLF.
So Tony, when you get that finish on, how about some pics?
Thank you from all who've participated in the project and watched the progress.
Nothing like a little teamwork! May this guitar bring some wonderful sounds and great feelings to it's recipient!
PS I think Tony is in Michigan and does finishes for many luthiers. He might even do one for you? Maybe he'll chime and say a few words about his work?
PSS Oh, Hank Mauel asked me about a label for this guitar. He's right you know. We will need a commemorative label made to do this thing right. Any volunteers who have a command of design publishing and software to do it? Kevin Asbury did one for the 13th Fret Project a few years back we could look at for ideas and our own Michael Payne took a stab at one earlier. So, email or PM me if you have some ideas, Bruce Dickey, Dickey Guitars, Russellville, Arkansas.
PSSS Someone tell me where John Watkins company CNCguitarparts.com is located now?
