You pulled that off very nicely Lance. Mating the raw mechanical image of the Gilberts with the artistry of your headstock. John |

Beautiful headstock Lance. How long did you have to wait to get the Gilbert tuners? |

Lance-very nice. Looks like genuine pearl knobs. Is that correct? I'm glad to see he's making tuners for steel strings. Steve |

Lance, Is that a Hauser-type v-joint on the back of your headstock? Those are very difficult (at least to me)to build but look really cool. Nice job all around. Cheers! John |

Lance: Very nice neck! Did you finish this neck or did Jimmie? I always struggle with getting a nice smooth finish at the top & bottom of the slots. The sides never seem to be a problem but the top and bottom of the slots seem to be a bit grainy. After buffing the compound seem to collect in the grainy areas and it's a real pain to deal with [for me at least]. |

Lance, Do you ever use headstock verneers for your slotheads. If so how do you avoid disturbing mahog. when you use rattail to elongate bottoms of slots? |

Some of you have been asking via email what the neck was tinted with - I used Z-Poxy diluted 50/50 with Denatured Alcohol and I wiped it on with a cotton tee shirt. I love that stuff! |
