I have a new Epiphone in shop for a repair. Guess not able to have it warranty as he bought on ebay.
Anyway does anyone know if nitro or poly finish? Site doesn't say.
Say's "set neck" which to me used to mean dovetail, but not sure if not epoxy join. Again anyone know if glue join. not bolted know that.
First Epiphone ever seen or held, so know nothing about them. But not bad sounding and plays pretty nice. DR200S ia the model

Some kind of synthetic finish(acrylic or poly-something), and non-serviceable neck joint, usually butt joint with dowels. May be a decent cheap student instrument, but generally regarded as disposable if it needs any repair beyond a setup or fret dress.

What repair work is it in for?

It is in for top cracks. I thought that the case for finish and told him if so, could stablize the cracks, but not sure how great the finish fix. It has finish cracks and 2 other longer cracks. Otherwise good shape.
I have since talked to the guy and he said fix the cracks and if can make CA work ok if not ok.
Give me some more repair experience anyway since not have all I need yet in shop to build on something.
Time walk down to the river and catch some trout I quess

oh yea the neck thing was just for my own information. I thought of picking up some cheaper guitars and work on them and then give them away. Looking for some that can remove the neck if needed, or for practice. Kind of like Bryan at Galloup does with old Oscar Shmitz(sp)

If you want to practice neck resets get some old beat up Harmonys, Kays, and Stellas. I think even many of the old Yamahas have dovetail necks as well.
