Once again the Luthiers Consortium will be displaying guitars and mandolins made by a select group of hand builders at the annual NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA, January 17-19, 2008. By day we will have our instruments displayed at Booth 1615 in Hall E, which we share with Allied Lutherie. By night we will throw a part at our hotel where these and more instruments will be available for play, perusal, and purchase. Refreshments will be served, and some great players will stop in to pick and grin. Jamming is encouraged and musical joy is a strong possibility. The intimate atmosphere and presence of each guitar or mandolin's maker will be a stark contrast to the multi-ring industry circus of the NAMM Show.

The Luthiers Consortium is an amorphous non-organization of instrument makers who are dedicated to excellence in their craft, and who eschew factory methods in favor of creating one-of-a-kind pieces of the luthier's art. This year our hotel is the Islander Inn at 424 W. Katella.

The NAMM Show in Anaheim is the largest trade show of musical instrument manufacturers in North America. It is not open to the general public. Our party, however, is open to all lovers of fine luthery.

Look forward to seeing you, and plugs on players forums are welcome. But remember, you do need steenkin' badges.
