Just wanted to make a big forum thank you to ToddStock. His generous
offerings of tutorials and pictures helped me through my first build of a
weissenborn copy.

Very Nice, Steve.  Beautiful wood, not to mention the great job on the instrument.

maybe todd can teach me how to play the weissenborn too?

I'm still hung up on all the tuning issues. Open d, open e, etc.

My brother is coming home for christmas, and he is the real musician in
my family, so maybe he can play it to it's full potential and I can try and
record something then. He is no ozzieblues man though...

my next build is a rocking chair and some shelves for a baby nursery.

if i was to build another guitar, this style would be one of my first
choices. an archtop would be great too, but it would require more
specialty hand planes which is not really in the budget right now.

The guitar does seem to have a great sound though when i pluck some
notes and put a glass shooter down on some strings. it is interesting to
play. it has very good sustain.

Wow Steve, that a great looking guitar. It Looks like Koa. You should be
proud.

I would like to thank Todd as well for helping me with my build, and for his
great tutorials. I particularly found the peghead tutorial very helpful and I
know that It will help many Weissenborn Style builders in the future for
years to come.
