I once had a customer buy a guitar, who throughout the process never really sounded like he knew what he was talking about. It wasn't until he called me after receiving it with a few questions about setup etc. that he told me he didn't play but just collected guitars. I'd have to say a sale is a sale, but it does feel weird to know a guitar I built will only ever look pretty and nothing else.
I wonder what it's like when you lose it and, the board flies off without you, and the leash grabs your ankle? God, that must hurt!
I'd be more worried about the board hitting someone else in that situation. I once copped a 10ft mal to the side of the head that saw me lose most hearing in that ear for a good few weeks (along with the most excruciating pain I've ever felt). Somehow I think that you'd be losing a lot more than that if this board hit you.
