With all the excitement of bob's new "Zoot Cave", I thought I'd post a couple snaps of my finishing shop. The main shop is finished and functional (with the exception of the steel framed service door) The booth is nearly done and I am actually doing some finish work. Oddly enough, my first project is a gun stock and handle. Here are the shots.

Nice place Joe!!! Very impressive. So are you officially "open for guitar finishing", or have you set a date, etc.   And have you set a pricing structure, finishing materials, etc...or have I somehow missed all of this (a distinct possibility).

Looks great, Joe. What part of the country are you in?

Joe...Looks great my fellow Hoosier friend! Looking forward to driving down the road some day and seeing it first hand.

When do you expect to be ready to take your first orders? What finishes will you be doing?

Thanks Guys!  Bill, as far as pricing, I am working on a reasonable and competitive pricing structure that will include a "first time" fee that will be most attractive to those that have been on the fence about subbing out their finishing work. I prefer to use Polyester but will also offer nitro to those that have the patience to wait ( long cure time).

There has been no "official" opening but I am working in the building and have a few projects on the table. I plan to get with Lance and Brock and go over the proper way to promote myself here. I do not want to break any forum rules. Pat, I am in the beautiful Midwest. Northern Indiana. Middlebury to be exact, home of the peaceful Amish.

Oop, JJ, you posted the same time as me. You know the door is always open and you can be in my toasty warm shop in an hour! As I just posted, Polyester and nitro. Automotive urethane is also available but I only recommend it on solid body stuff. Even then, the poly is still preferred and will have a faster turn around.
