My camera's on the fritz, so I haven't posted many pics lately, but I managed to get a shot of this inlay on a guitar I just finished. Sorry about the poor photo... The fingerboard/headstock binding, and the branches are Hondo RW. The Pink Moon is really much more "pink" than it looks in the photo. I want to give props to Paul Bordeaux and Craig Lavin. These guys are not only two of the great inlay artist working today, but they are right here on the OLF, providing advice and inspiration... Thanks guys! Thanks for lookin' long |

Fantastic....I really love it! I'm a big fan of owls, and that one looks great. The HRW makes fantastic tree branches too. |

Thanks everyone! I really enjoy doing inlay work... I think it's a great way to add some additional personality to a guitar. I'm glad you guys like this one... It's the most engraving I've done so far. There's always more to learn! I'll try to get a pic of the whole guitar. I need to get a better set-up for shooting photos in the winter. I shoot outside when I can, but this time of year it's difficult to make em' look good without a proper background. Have a good Thanksgiving... long |

That is such a cool inlay Bob! Great job with the engraving. It's very realistic with the tree and moon. And that hooter is really amazing! |

Good job. There's so much ugly inlay going on these days, much done just because it can be done. Refreshing to see less is more in action. |

I like the wood choices. Especially the way the long branch matches the grain pattern with curves, etc.. That is excellent attention to detail, and it makes the piece more realistic by default. Thanks for not being lazy and inlaying over the truss cover . It only adds to the piece! I'm truly honored that you feel my work is an inspiration!! Craig Lavin |
