Hello all!
Not that I've been a huge part of this forum, but I just thought I'd stop in and say hello since I feel like I've been away forever.

My guitar has made exactly zero progress too... :(
I've been busy/overwhelmed/procrastinating with the preparation of me and my wife's first baby. The due date is March 11, and I really want to see the guitar done by then but there are a few other priorities that take precedence obviously.

Anyway, I hope everyone I know (and don't know) here is doing well and having fun. I haven't even been able to keep up with all the progress my favorite builders have been making... I'll have to rifle through the archives soon. Good luck everyone!

Peace.

P.S. - IT'S A BOY!!! I got pictures to prove it!

Hey, Christian! Good to see your post. I was just wondering yesterday what had become of you. It had been awhile. In fact, your last post had been about the koa 000 that I'd posted pics of back in September. Shipped it out a few weeks ago, my nephew was thrilled with it.

Sooooo... you think you're busy now, eh? Well, you'd better get that guitar done soon, 'cause you're going to be so ga-ga over your son (not to mention sleep-deprived) that you might not get that thing done until he's two!

But that's priorities for you, and a new kid sure tops the list!

Keep in touch!

Hey Pat!
Glad to hear you got that Koa beauty out the door and it's being appreciated by it's new owner. Do you have #3/#4 in the works?

"Sooooo... you think you're busy now, eh?" -
Ummm well, I've been busy procrastinating if that makes sense... I'm not sure what I've been doing. Ha.
I can't believe its already the middle of November, and Thanksgiving is next week.... dun dun dun. The year is rapidly disappearing, and my wife's belly is rapidly appearing .

Anyway, tell your nephew if it isn't working out with him and the 000 that I'll be more than happy to take it off his hands.

Ron[/QUOTE]

I'm crossing my fingers for a St. Patty's Day baby too (secretly of course).

Billy- Oddly (or not oddly I guess) Melissa hasn't had any bizarre cravings. Maybe that will be the last tri - who knows.

Hesh - No birth yet... I know its a boy because I have ultrasound pics of ummm, well, you know.
Names - we are getting closer. We are down to Andrew and Parker... Maybe I'll put up a poll for the two names.

Hi Chansen,

Welcome back!

I remember my first.

You know, the things I thought would be the hardest, turned out to be the easiest. Like changing
diapers, dressing the baby, and feeding the baby. Actually, I rather enjoyed feeding the baby, it
would always bring a smile to my face. The hardest part came later, and only a couple of years
later at that. It’s amazing to me how, at the tender age of 2 or 3, they are figuring out how to take
advantage of every opportunity to find out how to make Mommy and Daddy angry. Now, that he’s 8,
he has developed a real knack for objective conjecture. My wife and I simply call him “the negotiator”

All the best to you, your wife, and your son Andrew

Good to hear from you Christian. I'd been wondering where you had gotten off to.

Everyone is right, you have 4 months left of peace, quiet and time to do what you want. Once your son arrives.... well.... ah yeah. It was awhile before Ryan slept through the night, about a year.

But the time flies by. Ryan turned 18 yesterday. I swear it hasn't been that long.

Take pictures and make memories. You can't get the time back to do over.

Don't worry, no one will tell Mellissa that you want the baby to be late, another week of carrying the baby, having to run to the bathroom every 15 minutes because Jr is using the bladder as a trampoline, growing larger, etc.

In the mean time... whatcha' got left to do on your guitar?

Christian good to see you here man!

Right on! your going to have so much fun with your first, wait till no.2 comes along, that's fun too.

My wife and I are expecting no. 3 within the next 6 weeks (Talk about a great Christmas present eh?) and than we'll be out numbered

Hey, honestly try really hard to get all the things you want to get done, done because when that little guy comes home, you won't have much time or energy to do much else, trust me, I know, I'm in the middle of it right now too.

Christian - Welcome to the world of FATHERHOOD it is all it is cracked up to be!  I was 45 when my first and only arrived and he is now 9!  It is a blast!

Congrats!  And heed the advice to get that guitasr done now.  I may have to wait till I'm, as my dad used to say, "too old to appreciate it" to get to my building.  But investing my time in my son is worth all the sacrifices made.

I wouldn't of had it any other way cause there is nothing finer than raising your children, but you do need to be prepared to put your wishes and your time on hold for about 20 years.
