Here's another of my nebulous questions: Constructing an L-00, Hond. Mahog, light build,-to attempt to achieve 'bluesy' sound of L-00, is there any consensus about which topwood is the best to use? Also, For L-00, 12 or 14 fret superior? Thanks, |

I think sitka may be best . The old Loo was not the highest end guitar but they are great blues guitars. I have one and find it very interesting john hall |

What John said. I'll add that what was said in your other thread about the L-OO about low, light triangular braces is important too. And, lastly, remember when we were talking about rough interiors? L-OOs were pretty rough inside as well with lots of tool marks and fuzzy wood. |
