A little bambino from Honduras. With an englemann top. Since Hesh and Steve were showing their whiteroom shots I had to jump on the band wagon. Hope the kids are playing nicely.

Beautiful John and Honduran rosewood is a fave here.  I really like what you did with the back strip too with the "Y" at the top.

I am sure that they are all getting along fine but yours and Steve's are probably telling mine to shut up often....

Great job John!!!

Lance has one there too I think.

And that's some neck he's got there!

John, I love that little detail on the backstrip. Classy!

Bro--

More info, please. Like--the side and back purfs?
They match the HRW really well, but look to have a bit of red in 'em? Bloodwood? More of the rosewood?

It's an elegant guitar! Looks set to receive a pyramid bridge perhaps.

All these beauties hangin around together.Tony must be a very busy man! John,That HRW has a beautiful color to it and looks great with the trim! I like the Y backstrip too!
Great work!!

Ah thanks guys. Makes me a proud parent indeed to hear such praise.

Bro those side and back purfs are bloodwood and maple. I was trying to get the color match in the purfling. In fact, the rim of the top is purfled with a broad swatch of bloodwood surrounded by other strips of stuff.

That back Y was necessary to compensate for what I considered a poor mitre joint. I didn't want to rebind the back but just had to redo that joint. Most of my more creative touches are there to hide mistakes.

I forgot to ask how you guys like my new adjustable neck joint? It is very flexable but I am having a hard time finding a piece of bone tall enough to make a saddle.

Another one to drool on!
Nice dressing at the heel on the back John!

Beautiful, as usual, John!!!

This seems to be a stellar group of guitars that are in Tony's Graduation Class!

Classic look to that beauty. I like the back Y - maybe it should have a corresponding piece on the heel cap for symmetry!

The finish does look great. . . What is Tony's screen name on the forum. I
assume he will do "finishing for hire."

Thanks for filling me in.

Well, it has a very industrial look to it...a nice counterpoint to the all-wood theme.
As a plus, there is very little heel to contend with in the upper registers.

I dunno what his screen name is Peter. Actually I think he spends very little time on the computer. I assume he will hire out, though he does all my guitars for free

Just kidding. If you drop me a PM I will get you his number.

Bro my thought was that with the neck hinged where it is a person could have a double guitar. That would include a bridge on the back as well as the top and of course you would have to put a fingerboard on the back of the neck as well. Still looking for a tall saddle.
