I am attracted to smaller guitars for a number of reasons.

For that reason, the 1816 Martinez guitar rendered
in GAL plan #36 and discussed in an AL article
caught my eye when I first read through Big Red Book #3.

Recently I noticed that someone on ebay is selling
a template set from this plan.

Has anyone here made a guitar from this plan, or a
similar pre-Torres classical guitar, or else
played one or heard one?

Planning next build,

Eric

I built one from the GAL Salon guitar plans for my grandson for his sixth birthday. It had walnut B/S and a sitka top as I recall. They're pretty cool little guitars, a lot louder than you might think too.

Alas, he is too busy trying to be the next great football star to take guitar lessons, so it probably doesn't get played much, if at all.

There's a pic of it somewhere on my website. Look for something that says grandson's guitar.

Don't know about the Martinez, but I'm really keen on doing a Panormo copy very soon.  I've been making parts for it as I continue on present projects.

There's a plan for a very nice 605mm scale Torres in Courtnall's book.  I'm working on parts for three of those; one each for my two daughters, and one for me!
