I was perusing the DVD Concert section and Blimey--

1. Bonnie Raitt Live at Montreux WoooWee.
I think this was Bonnie's 1st Montreux appearance because she was leading off. Bonnie had been around for some time-I had seen her numerous times and I know she had cut a few vinyls. Leading off, and at the conclusion, her band looked at each other, and I could almost hear the collective, 'Whew"- made it through the first one

She kept swatting the blues in the back of the head until it wailed and cried. About the blusiest Raitt performance I Have ever seen. Tears were cascading from my TV.
2. 1971, Camp Springs N.C. BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL-
Was searching DVD and 1st stop-Ralph Stanly and his Clinch Mountain Boys (this if after brothers death and, to honor his memory, Ralph moved further back in style-it is said his moms voice in choir could be heard in songs-easy to understand given Ralphs--kinda wailing sound.
Next J.D. Crowe and the Ken. Mtn Boys.
Who is J.D. Crowe and WHO THE HECK TAUGHT HIM TO PLAY THE BANJO WOW, that man can COOK!!
