I'm looking to do a few builds in the near future and was wondering how much is reasonable to pay for finishing? I'll be building acoustics and electrics. I'd be very interested in hearing what type of cost to expect to outsource various types of finishes.

Thanks in advance for any experiences you may be able to share!

Bear in mind that when I worked for Gibson in the late 1980s we had finish as about 1/3 of the total labor load in a guitar in the Nashville plant.   Yes, it's that much on a fairly standard guitar.   The fraction goes down the more inlay and fancy stuff you do, but on a normal bound and purfled guitar with dot inlays, that's about right.
