I'm looking for a body tracing of the Taylor Grand Symphony for BillM. Anyone have one they wouldn't mind tracing for me. Thanks, Bruce

Okay, Thanks Michael. That is an interesting guitar, they never sit still at Taylor guitars. I'm all ears.

the taylor GS is absolutely one of my favorite guitars ever. nothing to do with getting you a tracing since i dont have one, but just thought i would let you know. Big smile great shape and great sound. very impressive for a factory guitar.

Bruce...I'd call Taylor directly. If they're anything like Martin, they'll send you a tracing for free.

The T5 is their hollow body Electric. The Grand Symphony is an acoustic. It came out about three years or maybe just two years ago. Bill and I would like to find one for a tracing.

JJ, you may be right.

Thanks Michael,

Looks like they changed up their numbering system.
GA would be their Grand Auditorium, which I already have on hand, having bought one for the eldest son.

Punt.

Isn't that sucker pretty?

Grand Symphony, anyone?

Yea they did the old 500-700-800 model#s is now part of the legacy model#s

They still have all their 300-500-700 etc. model guitars. The newer G-series guitars come without the cutaway and no electronics as standard equipment.

How do you guys like the new Taylor electric?

Ooooooooooh.  Hadn't seen or heard of that before.  That's purdy!

Interesting bridge design, and it's aluminum!

Thanks for the GAS.

We have a GS guitar here in our showroom to compare to the McPhersons. I
personally find the Taylor a dud in the tone department but it is crafted
pretty nice on the outside. If you can't find a tracing let me know and I'll see
if I can run up during lunch and get one for you....

Thanks John Mayes, we'd appreciate it very much. BillM wants to build one of these shaped guitars. I'll PM ya the addy. Wow, I'd like to come shadow you for a day at work.......

actually that guitar is now no longer in the shop. It was loaned out to a
friend of someone or other...I didn't get the whole story, but when I went to
trace it it was gone and I have no idea when it will be back.... maybe
someone else can access one...

I've purchased four Taylors, and yes they will talk to you. Matter of fact, I contacted Taylor Guitars and asked they forward an email to Bob. Wouldn't you know it, we bantered back and forth over several emails. I bought another couple Taylors after those conversations.

I give them to all the people I love. Now I'm giving them Dickeys!

JJ, I know I'm just being hard-headed, but out of one thousand signees on the OLF someone has to know a friend of a friend.....

Thanks John Mayes, you tried, keep your eyes peeled for us just in case. Bill M sent me a nice tracing off his Breedlove Acoustic Bass, just trying to return the favor.

If I were a Taylor Grand Symphony, where would I be?

I've got a 2006 GS Braz/Adi that I can trace out for you.

Thanks Jared. Wow, that sounds like a truly beautiful guitar. If you wouldn't mind, I'd like a copy of that body tracing, thanks.

I'll duplicate it and send BillM a trace too.

Many thanks Jared. I'll PM my address.

We'd enjoy some pics of that guitar posted here if you want to put some up. You gotta be proud of that. I can just see Bob slipping that in the case himself at the shipping dept, beaming with pride!

Here are the pics I have on my server. I just adore the tone on this guitar.

Jared, I somehow knew it'd be beautiful with the Braz and Addy combo. The red spruce is a very nice top. I have about thirty and they don't look this nice. I was going for the woodsy look, wide grain and color streaking.

I wish I could hear this one. IF you ever record it, I'm sure not just myself would like to hear it. Ever been on You Tube?

Thanks for your valued assistance in propagating the speices of the GS. Bill will probably beat me to it!
