Well the client chose the over-width version of my standard peghead shape and no binding. The finish is on cured (ktm9) and leveled through 600 so far. But I thought I would take a break, slap on the hardware and put up a pic just to show what we decided.

Man, that is absolutely beautiful!  How long did it take you to inlay it?

The peghead maybe an 1/2 hour to score and and hour channel and inlay. There is a fretboard rose vine with roses in varying stages of opening at each maker position to go with this . On it I had maybe 8 hours of total work including shaping and slotting the fretboard.

I did not cut the shell I have Andy DePaule cut all my shell for me. For the price I would pay for the used and waist shell Andy provides it ready to inlay.

By the way this inlay package and several other of my Designs are available at Andy's web site luthiersupply.com

Very nice work What other designs are yours that Andy offers? I was tempted to buy a pre-cut set(actually this is one of the two I was really looking close at) from Andy at the last show here in Portland. I really struggle with designs (well inlay in general). You guys that really have a knack for the art impress the heck out of me.

Peace,Rich

I have a Mustang's head peghead a couple of Japanese Maple leaf vines (every one thinks it is cannabis vine but it is not )

More to come later down the road. after I have done a pattern twice or the customer does not request that the design be exclusive I allow Andy to offer them if he wishes.
