Hey y'all... I was monkeying around in the shop and thought about using some metal in a rosette. Kinda ugly I think, but worth a shot I suppose. I don't think I've ever seen metal in a classical rosette (probably for good reason ![]() |

another thought is to do the same with modeler's tubing. ABS is lighter than aluminum ![]() I like the look by the way |

I used copper wire in a Selmer small oval hole rosette, set in black epoxy. I plan on using metal again, for the right project. I think yours looks pretty good, though I think that it needs the metal carried over to the borders to support it. Could be just the photo. |

Any effect on sound? If the old masters had access to this kind of technology 200 years ago, it would be "traditional" by now. |
