O.K. I promise after this no more on this one..
But I thought this came out cool so I wanted whoever liked the inlay to see the tie-in. The truss cover is MOP, white river pearl, lapis, and red abalone- all the pieces needed to be basically white-ish, so these all being lighter shades came together but still look very distinct.
The owner Tom and I wanted to tie in the breaking mahi with the flying fish on the pick-guard so I came up with this. - the flying fish head on on the truss cover swimming (or is that gliding) head-long into the viewer. The pic guard tells the rest of the story. I actually got to meet Tom while he was on a fishing trip and go over the specs of the guitar, something I often cant do. He built it out of Warmoth parts and a little ingenuity. It's a little heavy, but the action is incredible. It blows away my PRS actually. More fish soon then something completely different.. (for me anyway)
Thanks
Craig L

Just a note for the future. Mahi Mahi ( aka Dorado ) are florescent green and yellow while alive and turn to silver and grey approx. 5 minutes after they die.

The death of a dolphin fish is kind like a rainbow ending it's life. They are really something when they are alive.
