Does anyone have an opinion on moisture meters? I generally don't use new sets for at least a year. But I don't have a seasoned supply of necks or neck blocks and I'm getting less comfortable with assuming that stuff I've only had for a few months is dry. I admit to not having done much research on meters, but I believe I read something about them not being accurate on thin stock. My main concern is thicker stock, but it would be nice to have a meter capable of checking sets as well. Any ideas? Thanks, Bob K |

I use a Wagner pinless meter. It works quickly and is accurate BUT you have to stack sets so you measure at least 3/4" thickness. Then the meter will only give you an average of the stack. |

Run a few by a cabinet shop or other place of business to check 'em. Those things are expensive for sure. No input here. |
