I have two pieces of Mahogany 4" x 1 3/8" x 10' that I would like to trade to someone in exchage for cutting the binding channels for a dreadnaught. I'm in Torrance and can deliver the wood to you. I really don't have the tools to do the binding so if you have tools and experience let me know if you would like to trade.

Sounds like a deal for someone. He Torrance is where I got left on the beach fifty-two years ago.

My family tried it again at the zoo a few days later, but I found them again!

Good luck on the trade. Luthiers abound in your area, surely one of 'em needs some good neck wood.

Bring it to Arkansas and I'll do it while you wait.

Ron[/QUOTE]

Plan a weekend at Lake Taho, drop it off on the way and pick it up on the trip home. Closer than Arkansas!

San Diego, he's in Torrance, man.

I wish I were in either place.

I love California.

Hey Hank, I'm on my way. First I gotta stop off in Okie City and buy you some ten foot pieces of mahogany!

Philip,
I just got back from the beach and saw this.

I'm in Murrieta. If you want to come here - no payment required.
I might be closer than Andy, but He has a much nicer view.
Do you have your bindings bent? It would be nice to check them before you leave. What about purfling? Do you need a cut for that also.

Guys, you just prove how great the OLF and its members are. Your kindness is appreciated. I have been off line since last Friday and have just got back on today. I really missed my internet.

Andy thank you so much for your offer. I would love to meet you and see your beautiful guitars in person. However, I think I will take Steve up on his offer. I can visit Steve and at the same time drop my wife and my sister off at one of the local casinos they like and that way I can make everyone happy.

Steve, Thank you for your offer. I need to close the box and I will contact you at that time. I am looking forward to meeting you since I was out of town when the get together took place.

Thank you all

Philip

Philip,
Just let me know and I'll work you in.
There is another get together on September 22.
