The madness has calmed down and I have free time again, the shop is calling me.

So that I don't unknowingly build a lefty, when I look at a bracing plan, am I looking at it as if the top was glass or as if the back was removed? I know this has been talked about before, but I couldn't come up with the right combination of keywords to find it in the archives.

I usually draw my own plans and I do it like the top was glass, as you put it.
If it's a steel string one way to tell is by the tone bars.
they come off of the X on the treble side and open up on the bass side.
Have fun!

I was about to reply "OOPS" to this thread after reading it, but instead I got out the plans that I have and it looks like a lot of them are drawn to where it's like the back is removed.

I think using what Jim said about the tone bars starting on the treble side is probably the best way to make sure of which way the plans are drawn.
