You're probably wondering what this has to do with lutherie, but it is legit. I am working on a special jig and need a source for a door sweep with the bristles. I tried Menard's, Lowe's and Ace hardware. I just don't have the time to keep dealing with sales people who do not know what they do and do not have. Anyone actually know of a credible source? thanks, chris |

Waddy, Thanks for the link. It just proves my first point. I just called the Ace that I already visited (there were no sweeps two days ago) and they say the computer indicates 6 in stock! When I was there in person, no one could even fathom what a bristled door sweep was. Jim, this is a first... McMaster Carr was actually more expensive than Ace Hardware (even before shipping). Todd, There are no Home Depot's in our area but thanks for the bandsaw tip. I have spent the $5 or so on one of those bandsaw wheel brushes and the darn thing doesn't even cover the entire tire. Now I know what I'll be doing with my cut-off's. thanks all, chris |
