I was on the Woodcraft site and they have free shipping today only, and 10% off on Saturday. For their anniversary sale.

Now that I got your attention, does anybody use the Woodcraft brass inserts? #12K50? 1/4-20 inside 3/8 outside.

They look like they'll work so I'll be ordering some today. Would appreciate any input from y'all.

I use them and they work fine.  They are basically the same thing LMI sells with a little finer outer thread.  I epoxy them in so they can't back out, and to harden the wood around them.
