For the Brits among us I though you might be interested in a new case I bought for my latest OM. When transporting my guitars about I have Calton cases (accept nothing less if you love your guitars) but for storage away at home I usually use Hiscox cases or SGB.

I discovered this new Kinsman brand, who make a range of guitar cases the usual ABS/aluminium but also these Hardshell cases, one especially for the OM/OOO size guitar. I pooped into Ivor Maraints and bought one for less than ?80, which I think is great value for money, and it's a perfect fit for my OM body shape.

This is the KDX7000, it's well padded and supporing and comes with six catches, there is the usual five plus one on the back of the neck compartment. The Kinsman people are very helpful when you contact them. I expect I'll be getting more of these.

It's unbelievable to think that I have not yet invested in a hard case for my guitars...thanks for the heads up, Colin. I've possible got a commission lined up, so this case might just be the ticket.

That is great news, even for us non-UK'ers; shipping from the UK to the rest of Europe is not that bad actually. I also get my Calton cases from the UK, but a less expensive alternative would be nice. I find Hiscox cases too flimsy for musicans who travel a lot, but some think that the Calton cases are too expensive so this could be a nice alternative. Have you looked into price breaks/deals whatever for builders?

Sorry I meant to post a link to their website, they don't supply direct but will point you to the nearest supplier. You can contact them for details, internal measurement and such, and they get back to you pretty fast. Good people.

Kinsman cases

I find it ironic that your case is identical to mine made by Guardian cases

The only problem I have found with it is that it had some sort of reaction with my FP finish. I havent tried it on a nitro finish.

It also has 6 latches and sports the same inside material as the one you posted. Even the attaching bolts are in the same place...
