We haven't had any golf posts for awhile so I thought I'd break the ice. Feel free to share stories, pics or both.

Many of you know that my passion for guitar building may only be exceeded by my passion for golf. I say MAY since it is summer and we're in the middle of the golf season. Ask me the same question in January and you MAY just get a different answer.

Anyway, I just wanted to post some pics from my home office to show the scene I'm forced to tolerate while doing work or snapping towels with my mates on line. Enjoy the view:

Here's some pics I took at the Ryder Cup last year JJ.
The golf was great - the Guinness sensational.

Cheers

JJ, what a tremendous view....must be an awesome place to enjoy your morning coffee or to entertain a friend in the evening!

Bob great pictures!! Ya gotta love the pros -- they make the game look so easy.

I am off for a weekends golf with my rogue brother hopefully there will be a picture or two that I will be able to post

My clubs are just taking up room in my shop.  Can't say I miss the game much - it's definately not one of my strength areas.  The pictures are beautiful though, and I love watching the game, particularly when played well.

I've played since I was 12 years old.

Eventually, I wanted to enter the local amatuer competition, the pro running it told me I'd have to hand in three score cards so he could tell me my handicap 'cause I'd never really bothered about it, the big numbers took away my enjoyment of the game. The next three rounds I played were the best of my life, handicap of 3. A performance I've never repeated.

When I met my wife I took her out to 'teach her how to play' and she whipped me real good, twice. She's a natural but says it's a "silly game"

I've kinda lost interest in golf.

JJ!!! Outstanding, bro!!!

As a fellow afficionado of both your passions, I understand completely! Maybe I should add single malt to the list...

I can't wait to play that gorgeous course!

Paul...Sounds like you're the perfect candidate to pick up the clubs again at a time in your life when you're ready. Seems like you have some natural ability that is bound to re-emerge when the circumstances are right...same for your wife.

Good luck...the land of Oz sure has some of the best young golfers on the PGA Tour these days.

Alain...For 3 years, I've had an open invitation to any OLFer who passes close to north-central Indiana to stop by and play a few rounds. You may be the first to actually take me up on the offer and I'm pleased at the prospect. Good stuff!
