what are the common neck and heel dimensions of a standard dreadnought. I have a set of the martin d-28 plans but they are vague at best in the final complete thickness at the heel and butt. Thanks all.. Lance |

Found this at McAlisters website depth at tail 4 7/8" * depth at neck 3 3/4" |

Martin site doesn't give heel and neck depth, only depth. They list a D as 4 7/8". Martin Guitar Specs |

Not on their web site. I have a set of plans that came with a kit I did about 4 years ago. That is where I got the Dim's |
