I've been wanting to get a router table for some time and have been searching for the right one, even including Norm Abrams plans. Well, Don Atwood sent me a link about a year ago for a table made by a small shop in Nova Scotia and I finally bought one...thanks Don.

Check out this link: http://www3.ns.sympatico.ca/abarb/

It was around $400 with shipping and I received it on Friday just as I was returning from another extended trip. I couldn't go to bed without at least opening the boxes and maybe just peeking at it. Well, after the initial peek, I thought maybe I'd take a few minutes and assemble it...about 30 minutes. Once it was assembled...well, you get the idea... After routing out 2 rod slots flawlessly I decided to go to bed...3:00 AM.

I'm very pleased with the table. The cabinet is solidly built from 3/4" Baltic Birch and trimmed in walnut, has wheels and even a heavy duty cast iron mitre gauge. It has drawers to store bits and a large bottom drawer to store large accessories. The table top is heavy 1 1/2" MDF surfaced with formica with a 3/4" track and has a nice fence. It also has dust collection pipe installed and ready to go.

I do have one question. Are there any publications out there that have ideas on building jigs and that show techniques that I can study in order for me to get the most out of the table?...TIA
