Oh, decant the cans into small plastic bottles and top off with Bloxygen to prevent the stuff from going gummy. We get the bottles at a local health food store.

I noticed that it is available at Woodcraft in smaller quantities.  Quart for $17.99.  The cost is a little higher, but for individual builders might be prudent. Also, a couple of the Tru Value Hardware stores in this area have it too.

I like to use finger sweat, but it must only come from the left hand. I donm't put anything on my fingerboards, I sand them to 2000 grit before fretting and that's it. I like the played in look of a fingermarked FB. An old fingermarked Brazilian has got to be the best looking and feeling board you can get.

The rosewood boards should already have enough oil in them, but I don't use ebony, that might be different.
