Please welcome Derek from BigD Guitars. Derek offers Custom made Varitone Switches for guitars and Basses. I'm sure Derek will chime in and explain his product better than I ever could.

Thanks Derek!

I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I have been an avid guitar techie for years now, hot rodding and tinkering with guitars. I was always fascinated by bb king's tone and wanted to install a varitone in my other guitars. well gibson wanted an arm and a leg for thier varitone so I decided to make my own. Three years later I have gained some steam and can now branch out and start to advertise!

The varitone changes the tone of your guitar. it will take a really hot guitar and mellow it out, and take a mellow guitar and add some depth to the sound. My website has some good info on it so if you are interested check it out.

I think that the guitar industry has changed for the better from this little thing called the internet. fender and gibson can mass produce all thier stuff, but there is something about having a guitar handmade. Any questions please email me at derek@bigdguitars.com

Thanks!

Welcome Big D

And thanks for supporting the greatest little luthiers forum this side of heaven.

The quote above just keeps coming up and needs definition. Someone asked me why my guitars we better than factory guitars. After a hard swallow, all I could say was they were..... well.... unique, hand-made, er and they get to pick their woods....

I don't know the answer like I should, anyway, we do want to welcome you to the OLF in an official sort of way: WELCOME   .... and thanks.
