I'm looking for some 2.5 inch wide by .010 thick and 20" long spring steel
sheets.... anyone know of a source?

Stew Mac sells these measuring around 4"-5" X 30" as support for bending on a hot iron............easy enough  to trim down.

You should be able to find it at any industrial supply house.

I believe it's cheaper through Grainger, but these folks have a place right
over in La Crosse. I don't know if you'll be able to find real high carbon
spring steel in a 2.5" width, but if some simple rolled shim stock will do I
think you'll have a lot more options.

McMaster-Carr has this stuff but you may have to buy some quantity. I just got a .005 x 6" x 15' sheet from them for bending sides.

duh shoulda guessed... McMaster has everything.. and they do have .010 2.5
width spring steel..... Thanks Shane.
