I am planning on purchasing a LMI OM kit, but want to build a double hole guitar (a la Grimes).  Will I be able to use the bracing materials that come with the kit  or will I have to order additional bracing?

First I have to say that I don't have a clue as to the answer to your question, but I'd be tempted to call LMI and let them know what it is that you want to do. Kit bracing can come in many forms depending on the level of 'servicing' applied to the parts. They will stear you in the right direction.

Hi Rich,
the kit will work fine and you may just have to move back the upper transversal brace to get out of the way of the soundholes. You may also be able to move the X-brace slightly closer to the neck and give you a bit more "moveable" lower bout that will deliver a nice range and a bit more volume.
