FWIW, it’s just the bridge and it’s just to give a fairly specific type of retro niche sound in the manner of Phoebe Bridgers, Olivia Rodriguez etc… |

Rubber bridge conversions (adding a pickup and a firm rubber saddle/bridge) of cheap guitars have been pretty popular for a bit. So new builds of the same thing make sense. It’s a cool, distinctive sound. Similar (but not quite the same) as a nylon string folk acoustic. Madison Cunningham (an incredible guitarist, check her out) has made good use of them. I did a conversion of a cheap guitar. It turned out great. I’ll post a pick and try to shoot a quick video playing it. |
