I remember being fascinated by the ladder/X bracing Haans used and talked about. And I’m finally ready to try it, but all his photos have been scrubbed from photobucket. Does anyone have some image of that bracing to share? Tia dave |

I saved these images that Haans posted a while back as I was making a ladder braced guitar at the time and found them very interesting. Hopefully this may be what you are looking for. |

Thanks for sharing. I don’t know if it’s what I was looking for or not. I thought there was one that had x on top and ladder down below and the two were integral to each other. |

I’ve made a number like the one in the destroyed picture. Didn’t know it was similar to Larrivee. Two legs and the modes don’t turn out like I want them. One brace and the modes are great but the belly really rises six months after being strung up. The picture I’m looking for had the X terminate essentially into the bridge plate. It overlapped the bridge plate. Notched out on the bottom the way the fans of the Hauser ‘34 are notched for the fans. Maybe I dreamt it. |

You might message Brad Goodman on here too. There was one of Hans books for sale in the classifieds a while back but looks like it sold. A few google searches makes me think copies will be rarified air. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

I’ve got one of Hans books and I’d sell it if someone is interested. |

Dave, I think this is what you're looking for. The only measurement info I saw was a 23" scale, 16" lower bout and box length of 17". ![]() |
