On one of my customers guitars that was about 3 years old a koa button on a set of Waverlys came loose. Not only did Stew Mac send a new set at no charge, but I requested a different set that was $42. more and said I would pay the difference, and they said no need to pay the difference. That's a class act! |

Very cool. I recently sent in about 15 nut files that I had used on thousands of guitars over the last decade and a half and they replaced them all and did so with a smile and class. The files last a very long time but we also cut light cured dental fillings that shorten the life of the files because the composite is so hard. I had a problem with a pedal I was building and StewMac resolved the problem with their excellent tech support and then sent me a new pedal kit. During the pandemic an amplifier cabinet that was part of an amp kit I was building had the studs misplaced and StewMac sent me a new cab and did not make me jump through hoops to return the old one. This week I emailed them on Monday because my third Ron Clone clone kit pedal that I was building, I give these away as gifts to friends, didn't work when I was finished. StewMac responded in less than 24 hours, had looked at my high res pic I sent and found I plugged the op amp chip into the socket backwards. Ten seconds later the pedal worked and I was a happy guy. Legendary customer service from StewMac. Also nice to see posts that are supportive of our industry, thanks Brad. |
