I don't know if I ever saw this guy before. I heard of him.

What a beat up guitar! Even the fretboard looks like it is shot.

It sure sounds good though.

What's going on in the sound hole?

Tommy is the real deal! He’s played with Chet, John Knowles and many other killer players. Worth looking at other performances on the me-toob! What he gets out of the Maton guitars he plays is something else - they *aren't* great guitars….

I have seen him last year live in Bielefeld. It was so amazing for he had a lot of fun on stage and that swapped over to the audiance. For him it was a kind of home concert, because he knew several people sitting in front of him. Thats because he started his career nearby in Lippstadt 20 years ago, and all the people from Lippstadt who knew him from these days came to Bielefeld to listen to him.
He plays a Maton guitar from his home Australia, with a Maton pickup system.
Juergen.

Tommy could make a shoe box with string sound good!

Tommy Emmanuel is the best guitar player I have ever heard play in person, on Mountain Stage here in WV. It’s like hearing 2-3 people playing at once.

Tommy is one of my favorites. He played a couple of guitars that I built, after I asked him to.
Saw him at Winfield several times, couple of concerts.Ran into him at the Martin museum.
If you get a chance to see him do it, you won’t regret it.

Go to YouTube and watch him play Dixie/Yankee Doodle AT THE SAME TIME.

When I first started learning to (what passes for) play, my instructor told me to go to a Tommy Emmanuel performance that same week, telling me that Tommy was the best guitarist nobody ever heard of.
