Does anyone know if the forms are compatible? Stewmac and Bluescreek. I need to purchase another bender. I like that side loader Stewmac version but have been using Johns. |

It looks to me like they both load with 3 slots for the form base to ride it. It would depend on the width of those slots and the spacing of the slots. You could probably modify your forms to work. I just bought John's Uke/guitar bending machine and love it. I was able to modify my existing forms from tcscustom to work in the BluesCreek bending machine by adding a half inch wide strip of wood on the bottom of my for forms to hold the form steady in the center slot, and drill the holes for the stabilizing bolt centered under the waist. Not sure what you would gain with the Stewmac version. |

Meddling the basic unit which is what I need is $700. I bought spare heating blankets and controller when LMI went out of business Modkev have you seen the SM unit? You can load it from the side. That's prob the only difference. No doubt about it I like John's bender as well. Not to mention that John just totally rocks the customer service and is very giving to the luthier community. |
