Does anyone know if the forms are compatible? Stewmac and Bluescreek. I need to purchase another bender. I like that side loader Stewmac version but have been using Johns.

Depends on how deeply you want to reach into your retirement fund . . . StewMac's version is twice the price of John Hall's.

Johns are the best. He's also a great guy.

One mod you can make to an existing bender to facilitate placing the sandwich and removing the side is to make the top removable.

as an engineer I made my bender simple , the waist caul is self adjusting and held on my springs. Once bent the springs release the caul and the wood is easily removed and replaced.
as for the bending patterns I use ply not mdf and while the bending patterns are not a perfect fit , we can make bending patterns for them and the LMI. They are on my website and always feel free to contact me.
